I have 29 years of experience in the kitchen industry, beginning with hands-on installation during the first three years of my career before transitioning into design. Over the past nine years, I’ve specialised in German kitchen design, and for nearly three years, I’ve been proud to be part of the Nolte Kitchens team.
What is your best piece of design advice?
Bold decisions often yield the greatest rewards. Don’t hesitate to make choices you truly love, even if they may not appeal to everyone.Make your mistakes on the design software. If there’s anything you’d like to try, even if you’re unsure it will work, let me know. Exploring these ideas allows you to see what works and what doesn’t. Even if they don’t quite fit, you’ll have ruled them out, removing any “what if” scenarios and helping you make a confident decision on the final design.
What should I prepare for my design consultation?
Please bring along your kitchen measurements, a wish list of features you'd like to include, and any mood boards or Pinterest boards you’ve created. The more information you can share, the better I can understand your requirements, style preferences, and overall vision for your new kitchen.
How can I make the most of my space when it comes to my kitchen design?
Making the most of your space comes down to clever planning, smart storage, and tailoring the layout to how you use your kitchen, along with your design requirements. Choosing the correct layout to suit the space is super important, we will discuss the space, the layout options and we’ll look at how you would like move within the space (cooking, entertaining, etc.) to create the perfect space for you.
What is your favourite Nolte Kitchen range?
My favourite Nolte kitchen at the moment is the NeoLodge Black Oak. I love the depth and texture of this design, especially when paired with the Lava or Magma from our Soft Lack range, which makes it stand out.
What current trends are you seeing in kitchen design, and how can we incorporate them into my project?
Sleek, handleless cabinets and integrated appliances are popular for achieving a clean, uncluttered look. At Nolte, we offer handleless options like MatrixArt, which provide that seamless aesthetic while still being functional. Combining textures—such as matte finishes with wood grain or metal accents- this adds depth and interest.
