What is your design process like?
I like to firstly have a discovery meeting to establish the clients wish list, lifestyle and needs. I would then book an appointment for within a week of discovery appointment to visit the property to get a feel for the space, measure and discuss ideas further. I would then take some time to produce at least 1 design, perhaps 2 or 3 if more than 1 option has been discussed. I would aim to have that together within a week and book a presentation appointment in the showroom. Sometimes, if it’s difficult for the client to come into the showroom that soon, I can alternatively have this meeting via teams or zoom. During that meeting, I hope to tweak the design to suit the client's requirements and finalise choices of worktops, appliances, sinks, taps etc to enable me to produce a costing. This sometimes could take 2 or 3 visits. Once choices have been finalised, I’d make a final appointment to run through the costs and potentially proceed with the order.
What current trends are you seeing in kitchen design, and how can we incorporate them into my project?
In 2025, UK kitchen design trends are evolving with a focus on combining style, functionality, and sustainability. Minimalist designs continue to be popular, emphasising clean lines and clutter-free spaces, often incorporating smart storage solutions to maintain a sleek appearance. Another significant trend is the integration of smart technology, with features like voice-activated appliances becoming more prevalent. I’m finding greens popular, matt finishes over gloss and accent ranges such as the Scandi look with matt white mixed with wood tones.
What kitchen styles do you offer?
German kitchen styles are predominantly minimalist, modular and sleek, and Nolte follow that German theme. But Nolte do also offer some traditional Paint to order shaker kitchen options.
How can I make the most of my space when it comes to my kitchen design?
Use smart storage solutions. Create worktop flow zones to enhance efficiency. Consider which areas should be considered for cooking, prepping and cleaning and what you would need in those areas
What should I prepare for my design consultation?
Put together a wish list of things that you’d like to incorporate. Do some research and save things that you’ve seen that you like. Consider your existing kitchen and your likes and dislikes. Write down your must-haves and things that you would like to have.
