Tell us about your design style and approach?
Every project starts with an appointment at our Glasgow kitchen showroom. Together, they create a kitchen that feels warm, refined, and beautifully balanced. It's a perfect example of what German engineering makes possible. I believe the best kitchens come from understanding your home. That means knowing what will truly help you enjoy it. As a result, I never rush the early conversations — they’re where the best designs begin. From there, I create a tailored kitchen design proposal with plans and 3D visuals, so you can clearly see how your new kitchen will look and function. We then refine the details together before moving forward with the project.
What are your core strengths as a kitchen designer?
First and foremost, I listen carefully and focus on creating thoughtfully considered kitchen designs that suit how you live. I pay close attention to detail throughout the design process to ensure the space works both practically and visually. For example, I enjoy working with textured materials such as real wood, wood-effect finishes, and glass. I pair these with modern matt kitchen colours. Together, they add depth, warmth, and a sense of understated luxury.
What is your favourite Nolte Kitchen range/feature?
In particular, I love how thoughtfully the Nolte kitchen products are designed. One combination I particularly enjoy is NeoLODGE in Blackened Oak paired with the Manganese Bronze full-height glass units and integrated lighting. Together, they create a kitchen that feels warm, refined, and beautifully balanced — a perfect example of what German engineering makes possible.
What is your best piece of design advice?
Above all, don't follow stereotypes or trends too closely. The most timeless kitchen designs focus on what matters most to you — whether that’s improving the layout, adding better storage, or creating space for the appliances you use every day. Working with an experienced kitchen designer helps guide the process. Together we can turn your ideas into a well-planned, functional kitchen.
Any fun facts or hobbies outside of design?
When I’m not designing kitchens, I enjoy cooking, painting, practising yoga, and hiking in the beautiful hills across Scotland. Each of those things feeds back into how I think about space and texture. Ultimately, that influences every kitchen I design.
