Tell us about your design style and approach?
It starts with a free kitchen design appointment to understand my clients and how they use their space. Great kitchen design begins with building trust, listening carefully, and learning what matters most in their daily routine. From there, I guide clients through the key decisions step by step. We look at layout, style, and materials before bringing all the elements together. The aim is always to create a kitchen that feels personal, practical, and thoughtfully designed.
What are your core strengths as a kitchen designer?
Listening, adapting, and helping customers get exactly what they’re looking for without pushing my own preferences onto them.
What is your favourite Nolte Kitchen range/feature?
I’m a big fan of the Nolte NeoLODGE in the blackened oak finish. I’ve always leaned toward darker, more understated colours, so it fits my preferences perfectly. We’ve got a display of it in the Glasgow showroom with the access feature doors as a walk through, and it still impresses me every time. I'm proud to be able to show customers kitchen design that’s genuinely German and exciting.
What is your best piece of design advice?
Listen to the client. It’s as simple as that. They’re at the heart of the design, and if you focus your attention on what they really want, the rest usually falls into place. Put them first, and the end result naturally follow.
Any fun facts or hobbies outside of design?
Outside of kitchen design, I’m a bit of a big kid at heart and enjoy gaming as a way to switch off. Most of my time is spent with my kids and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My son is passionate about football, while my daughters keep us busy with dancing and gymnastics—so there’s never a dull moment in our home!
