My love of design was shaped by time spent in Sardinia, where raw earthy materials are woven into the architecture and landscape. That sensibility stayed with me. When I discovered Nolte, I found the perfect way to pair those natural influences with the precision of German engineering. As a result, every kitchen I design carries that balance — warmth and texture alongside quality and craft. I'm the showroom manager and senior designer at our Henley-on-Thames showroom, and I bring that perspective to every client I work with.

Tell us about your design style and approach?

Every new client gets a tour of the showroom first. I love showing people what Nolte can do — it sets the tone beautifully. From there, we settle in with a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit, and I take time to understand your lifestyle, layout preferences, appliance requirements, worktop ideas, and the aesthetic you're drawn to. If you have floor plans, bring them along. If not, I'll arrange a home measure at your convenience. Furthermore, I always discuss budget early — and if you're not sure yet, that's absolutely fine. I can provide an estimate to give you a clearer sense of what's possible. Once I've designed the space — often offering two or three layout options — I invite you back for a full presentation. Together, we walk through realistic 3D visualisations of your new kitchen, including chosen units, finishes, and full project cost. That's where the vision truly comes to life.

What are your core strengths as a kitchen designer?

Listening is at the heart of everything I do. I take time to understand each client's requirements, vision, and budget before I put pen to paper. Additionally, I offer multiple layout options as standard, because the first idea is rarely the only good one. I believe the best designs come from a genuinely collaborative process — and that starts with really hearing what the client wants.

Are there specific materials or finishes you love working with?

I'm drawn to natural materials and finishes that feel timeless. Nolte Slim is my go-to for a clean Japandi look — light, airy, and beautifully restrained. For a moodier, more textured feel, NeoSlate is hard to beat. I also love Walnut Rosado and Oak Tobacco for the warmth and richness they bring to a space. Moreover, these are finishes that age beautifully — they look as good in ten years as they do on day one.

What is your favourite Nolte Kitchen range/feature?

It's hard to pick just one. However, if I had to choose, I keep coming back to the natural veneer finishes — particularly Walnut Rosado and Oak Tobacco. They capture exactly what I love about design: the meeting point of nature and craftsmanship. Furthermore, paired with Nolte's engineering quality, they deliver a result that feels truly premium.

What is your best piece of kitchen design advice?

Think completely outside the box — with a little Pinterest help along the way. The best kitchens come from clients who are brave enough to explore ideas they wouldn't normally consider. However, don't get lost in the scroll. Instead, use inspiration as a starting point and trust your designer to shape it into something that works for your specific space and life.

Any fun facts or hobbies outside of design?

I'm 31 going on 78. You'll find me at work, in my garden, in Sardinia, or buried in a good book. That love of nature and slowness feeds directly into how I think about design — spaces that feel calm, grounded, and genuinely liveable.
