Tell us about your design style and approach?
I always begin with listening. Every client has a vision for their ideal kitchen — sometimes it's fully formed, and sometimes it needs drawing out. My role is to unveil that vision and translate it into a design that is both visually beautiful and functionally efficient. I select colours and finishes that resonate with each client's personal style, because the best design is one so uniquely suited to the client that they wouldn't change a thing. I aim to make every design process collaborative, detailed, and tailored. First, we begin with an in-depth consultation — discussing your lifestyle, needs, design preferences, and budget. This is undoubtedly the most important step. From there, I create a bespoke design using advanced 3D rendering software. Consequently, clients receive a clear visual of their dream kitchen before we order or install anything.
What are your core strengths as a kitchen designer?
Maximising space is my speciality. As a trained interior architect, I take a holistic view of each client's layout. I use vertical and hidden storage solutions, incorporate clever features like integrated seating and sliding pantry units, and plan lighting to enhance both the sense of space and the overall ambience.
What is your favourite Nolte Kitchen range/feature?
I have a soft spot for the Nolte Neo Lodge range. It perfectly balances modern aesthetics with ergonomic elegance. Inspired by Italian design and intelligent details, Neo Lodge is defined by its sleek lines and rich colours. Furthermore, it's a standout choice for clients who want something bold yet timeless — it never fails to impress.
What is your best piece of kitchen design advice?
Listen to your designer — and make sure your designer truly listens to you. A skilled designer will tailor every decision to your unique requirements. Moreover, don't underestimate the importance of selecting colours and finishes that genuinely reflect your personal style. Ultimately, the best kitchen is one that enhances your everyday life, not just one that looks good in a photograph.
What should I prepare for a consultation with you?
To make your initial consultation as productive as possible, it helps to bring basic room measurements or plans if you have them. Additionally, photos of your current kitchen, inspiration images or Pinterest boards, and appliance preferences are all useful. Think about your lifestyle needs, any must-haves, and have a rough timeline and budget in mind. However, don't worry if you don't have everything ready — that's what the consultation is for.
