Daniel Bainbridge

I’m based at our Beaconsfield showroom, and my background in Fine Art and Marketing means I approach kitchen design a little differently. I bring together creative thinking and practical problem-solving to design kitchens that are both beautiful and functional. What is your design approach?

Every project begins with understanding your needs and lifestyle. I always start by discussing what you love and what you’d change about your current space, as this helps shape a kitchen design that’s truly personal to you. The kitchen is the heart of the home, so it’s important that the new space reflects how you live, cook, and spend time together. From there, I translate your ideas into clear layouts and design features that bring the space to life. Therefore, even if you find it difficult to put into words exactly what you want, I’ll help you get there.

What are your core strengths as a kitchen designer?

One of my core strengths is seeing the bigger picture. Many people find it difficult to visualise exactly what they want from a kitchen — so I focus on translating concepts into clear layouts and design features that make the space come alive. Ultimately, my job is to make the process feel straightforward and exciting, not overwhelming.

Are there specific materials or finishes you love working with?

The Nolte Evora Lack range with MatrixArt handleless opening is one of my favourite kitchen styles. It offers a perfect balance between a subtle mid-century shaker look and modern handleless kitchen design — for instance, it suits both traditional and contemporary homes beautifully. It’s a range that genuinely surprises clients when they see it in person.

What is your best piece of design advice?

Keep things simple. The most successful kitchens are often the ones that avoid overcomplicating the layout, materials, or features. In larger spaces especially, adding too many units or design elements can make the kitchen feel cluttered and less practical. Instead, focus on a clean layout, thoughtful storage, and carefully chosen finishes. The result will always feel considered and timeless.

Any fun facts or hobbies outside of design?

Outside of work, I enjoy a range of creative hobbies. I play the piano, enjoy streaming games, and spend time drawing dog portraits. I’m also a fan of speedsolving Rubik’s Cubes — a fun way to challenge myself and switch off after a busy day.
