Tell us about your design style and approach?
My approach always starts with the client. I believe great kitchen design should elevate everyday life while also bringing strong aesthetic value to the space. Every design decision I make is guided by one key question: how will this improve my client's daily routine? Furthermore, I create a relaxed and welcoming environment from the very first appointment, so clients feel at ease, listened to, and confident they're in safe hands throughout the process.
What are your core strengths as a kitchen designer?
Alongside my years of design experience, I bring a real-life perspective that many designers don't have. As a mum, I know firsthand how much a kitchen is used — from hectic school mornings to hosting big family dinners. As a result, I design with accessible storage, practical layouts, and smooth flow at the forefront. I love advising clients on every detail — layout, storage, and finishes. I always think about how each choice works in practice, not just on paper.
Are there specific materials or finishes you love working with?
I love working with natural materials — particularly wood and porcelain worktops. These finishes bring warmth, texture, and timeless appeal to a kitchen. Moreover, they're durable and practical for everyday living. They look beautiful on day one and perform just as well years later.
What is your favourite Nolte Kitchen range/feature?
NeoSlim in dark oak is a firm favourite. It's a slim shaker door with an elegance that feels both rich and timeless. Furthermore, it works beautifully across a wide range of styles — from warm and traditional to clean and contemporary. It's one of those finishes that consistently impresses clients when they see it in the showroom.
What is your best piece of design advice?
Trends come and go — always follow your own taste. A kitchen designed around what you genuinely love will serve you far better than one that chases the look of the moment. However, that doesn't mean playing it safe. Instead, it means being honest about your style and working with a designer who can bring it to life in a way that's truly yours.
Any fun facts or hobbies outside of design?
Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, walking dogs, and making the most of living by the water. That love of the outdoors feeds directly into how I think about bringing natural textures and materials into the kitchens I design.
