Tell us about your design style and approach?
Personally, I'm drawn to modern design. Clean, minimal lines and simple shapes are the starting point. What makes a space interesting is how you bring in different textures, materials and finishes. I like spaces that feel modern and refined, yet still warm and full of personality. When I meet a new client, the first step is understanding how they use their space. I like to ask what they don't like about their current kitchen, but also what already works well for them. Everyone is different, so there's no single approach that suits every client. The design needs to reflect how they live and what they actually need.
What are your core strengths as a kitchen designer?
My core strength as a kitchen designer is combining creativity with practical, functional design. I have a strong eye for detail and enjoy creating spaces that look good and work well for everyday life.
Are there specific materials or finishes you love working with?
I particularly love working with timber, stone and concrete. Together, they bring the warmth and natural character of timber and stone against the more industrial feel of concrete. The contrast between them creates a balanced, interesting space.
What is your favourite Nolte Kitchen range/feature?
One of my favourite Nolte ranges has to be our neoLodge doors. I love the warmth they bring to a space, along with the beautiful fluted finish. Used as a design feature, they add texture, depth and character, and can really elevate a design.
What is your best piece of design advice?
My best design advice is to choose what you truly love, rather than designing around what's trending. Trends come and go, but a home should reflect your personality and your story. That's what makes a space feel timeless and uniquely yours.
